Falling Behind Guild, Falling behind…

Guild saw the empty cage and pointed at us and said “Get them!” We couldn’t afford to be arrested now, the Diablerie had the Isthmus Anchor, which meant they would snatch Fletcher Renn and open the gate, so that the Faceless ones could come back.

We ran up the shelves, but a Cleaver bounded in the way. Skulduggery rippled the air, but the Cleaver moved through the ripples. He realised that he still had his gun in his right hand and he shot, form point blank range into the Cleaver’s chest. Skulduggery knocked over a whole cabinet of artifacts and unnatural smoke swallowed us up. Thurid was furious as he ran back for back up, we grabbed the cloaking sphere and ran.

THE DIABLERIE VS US SORT OF…

We were in the van and we found the cage with the Grotesquery in it. I realised that it was covered in symbols, and Skulduggery was pretty sure that if we touched the wrong one, the thing would swell up, blow up and kill us all.

We were looking on the shelves for anything that would help us open the cage to get to the Grotesquery and I found a wooden sphere, and it had a thin channel running all the way around the circumference. Skulduggery said it makes magic people invisible. It was pretty cool for a wooden ball. I put it back and turned around to follow Skulduggery but he was not there… I heard a grunt and Skulduggery came flying and he hit a table, and following behind him was a huge man with long silver hair. I recognised him as Gruesome Krav, of the Diablerie.

I turned to see Sanguine walking towards me, and I clicked my hand and they were filled with flames, but Sanguine was already gone and I listened for Sanguine’s crumbling sounds which told her where he was. I heard it behind me a I shot out a back kick. I turned around to see Sanguine sprawled on the ground with his sunglasses shattered in two and his nose was profusely bleeding. His eyeless face was covered in pain and anger and he threw a violent punch into my face and I fell to the floor and noticed one of my front teeth were missing. Skulduggery had shot him in the leg. He changed targets to Krav but he smashed it out of his hand. Sanguine jumped to the cage and hit a symbol and I rolled over and though I would die but they had hit the right symbol, and now had the Grotesquery and were gone…

Skulduggery helped me up and did an inspection of my tooth. He was about to say something when the double doors opened and Thurid Guild and a couple of Cleavers appeared…

Grotesquery Theft

We hurried up to the door monitor of the Sanctuary. Skulduggery had a bit of a hustle with it and it finally agreed to call the Administrator. When she appeared we stated we needed to see Mr Bliss but she said he was away, and turned to leave, but Skulduggery used magic to rob her of all oxygen and we hurried in.

We got to the holding cells of the Gaol in the Sanctuary. We needed a distraction so that the Cleavers would chase him, and let us grab the Grotesquery. Well, we had to shackle another Sanctuary official there, and it doesn’t feel nice. We released Vaurien Scapegrace, a man who though he was the Killer Supreme and that he would turn murder into art. Well… he isn’t very smart, because he tried to throw me off a building two years ago. We are going to get the Cleavers to chase after him while we grab the Grotesquery an I dunno what else we are going to do after, presumable try dispose of it.

Well… the Cleavers are after Scrapegrace, so time to go steal a Grotesquery. Hm… Wonder what it’s like… … …=,=

Aranmore Farm

We drove half an hour from Dublin and we finally got to the place where the world may end. It announced in dying red letters that it was Aranmore Farm, and that it was private property. It seemed like one of the last places you’d have imagined that the world will end on.

We drove up to the farmhouse and Skulduggery had made a prety good assumption of who lived there. He presumed he was a single, farmer. In his seventies and not at home. Well we got a bit of a fright when he appeared suddenly. Skulduggery took some time to explain to Mr Hanratty or Pat, he couldn’t decide which one I should have called him. Anyways, during the conversation, Skuldggery figured out that the Grotesquery was the Isthmus Anchor, and now we are driving back to the Sanctuary, to STEAL the Grotesquery.

Home, Sweet Home… OF SKULDUGGERY???

Skulduggery had a home… My first reaction was one of surprise, and the second was one of acceptance. Obviously he had a home. It’s not like he just dives around in a Bentley all day. It was pretty obvious.

The first thing you notice about Skulduggery’s house is there is only a living room… He said it was because he was dead, he never needed anything other than a living room. Well I’m trying to work out what the Isthmus Anchor now that we know where the gate will open. Now I need some sleep.

Wreath, Solomon Wreath

We drove in silence. There was a gradual decrease in the quality and size of the houses. We stopped outside one of the abandoned houses. I walked inside and it was stripped bare. I turned to leave but there was man in the way. He seemed to make the place gloomier than it was, as if he had brought a cloud of darkness with him. He told me about the murders in the house. He introduced himself as Solomon Wreath, the Necromancer. I realized, that since Necromancy was a death or shadow magic, it was pretty obvious that its users would look for a place reeking of death.

We got information that the Diablerie were back and trying to open the gate, and Batu was a false name that the Diablerie leader; Jaron Gallow was using to throw us off trail. Solomon Wreath and three other Necromancers were going to join us in our battle against the Faceless Ones, but Skulduggery hit Solomon so hard and fast I didn’t even see it, I only saw Solomon smashing into the wall. I’ve still got the shivers after getting into the Bently.

Finbar Wong

It was raining by the time we got to the Temple Bar. Finbar Wong was a sensitive and we needed his help to find whee the would open. He was possessed by the Faceless Ones and I nearly got killed by a knife he threw. Anyways we found where the gate is. Skulduggery got a call from Solomon Wreath… and he is… a… NECROMANCER!!! AND I HAVE TO GO MEET HIM!!! :O

Clarabelle???

After the Professor had left, his assistant, Clarabelle walked in. She said hi and she asked if it hurt much when I got into the fight… :S She said the Professor was always saying that I would have been dead if it wasn’t for him. She asked a couple of other weird questions… She is not really on this planet…

Professor Kenspeckle Grouse and the Medical Laboratory

The darkness was overcome by the radiant lights of the corridors which led to the laboratory. Inside we saw the stone statue of Ghastly Bespoke, Skulduggery’s best friend, and the world’s best tailor. He had used the final Elemental power, the Earth power to protect himself from the White Cleaver, and the Professor had tried everything to get him back to his normal stage, with no result.

Kenspeckle took me to the Infirmatry, where he treated my splinters and my cut face withough a single drop of blood or a scream of pain. He told me I should give up magic and be a normal teenager, but I like my life the way it is… Also I convinced Kenspeckle if Fletcher could stay there, he said only because I asked so nicely.

The Hibernian Cinema

We got to the Hibernian Cinema and it was silent and dark like normal. Fletcher kept making stupid comments on the cinema. When we moved through the projected image of the curtains parting and the stage lighting up, Fletcher finaly shut up.
